Southern California Real Estate/ Capistrano Realty started in business about 60 years ago to rent and sell Beach Front homes, in a private, gated community on Capistrano Beach, located about 65 miles south of Los Angeles.  Our clients, mainly families, came from the Los Angeles and Pasadena areas. The original rentals were mostly small, rustic cottages where the family had to bring all of the bedding, but they were glad of the opportunity to enjoy a week at the ocean. The trip from Los Angeles took as much as 4 hours. 

As the word of this unique, quiet beach area spread, and the freeway system reduced the travel time to 1-11/2 hours, families started to come from Arizona, Nevada, Utah and many from other states. Most of the original cottages have been replaced or expanded. Homes now range in size from 1 to 6 Bedrooms and have all of the modern conveniences.  Over 700 families a year now visit this unique resort. They come for family reunions, to rest, relax, play on the beach and many take a few days to visit Disneyland, Universal Studios, San Diego Zoo, Sea world, Leggo Land, the Mission San Juan Capistrano and countless other attractions. 

Many of the guests take advantage of the local golf courses and the nearby Dana Point marina has a wide variety of fishing, sailing, jet skis, whale watching and motorboat activities. The surrounding cities of San Clemente, Dana Point, and San Juan have a unique variety of shopping and fine dining. Laguna beach with its unique shopping and dining area is only minutes away. 

We are open year round and the warm California winter season encourages many visitors throughout the winter months and to celebrate the traditional family holidays of Thanksgiving, Christmas, Easter and others all at an affordable price.
